Thank You
I left CMBC 2 weeks ago with a heart filled with encouragement. Your church body was so welcoming and hospitable. I was blessed beyond words. THANK YOU for your warm welcome, for your investment in Albania through faithful prayer, and for the opportunity to share all that God is doing as a result of your partnerships. THANK YOU too for the unbelievably generous financial gift that so many of you contributed to! Words cannot describe how overwhelmingly grateful I am.

With a thankful heart,

Jen Bitterman

Jen Bitterman returned to Albania shortly after sharing with us here at CMBC. She is currently facing some trials and would appreciate your prayers. As we learn of detailed ways you can pray for our brothers and sisters serving the Lord far from home, we will forward their requests to you in hopes you will lift them up in prayer:

Just writing to let you know that I arrived safely back in Albania a week ago, after a long but mostly uneventful trip. Thank you so much for your prayers!

To be honest, the past week has been far from what I expected.

  • I have only had 2 full nights of sleep since I arrived (jet lag hit me hard this time around). PRAISE God, I think I am now back into a normal schedule.
  • The differences in life here have been more evident and much more stressful than I remember (non-stop rain, traffic, no one waiting their turn in lines, grocery stores not having what I am looking for, etc.). PRAY with me for patience as I readjust to everyday life.
  • I've been welcomed back into the role of "peacemaker"...as several people have already come to me with some major relationship issues (both at church and at work). PRAY that God would give me wisdom to know what to say when, and when it is best to just keep quiet and listen.
  • Co-workers had to leave suddenly to help with an issue at home, so on Wednesday I moved out of my house and into theirs for at least the next 3 weeks (to help their kids with cooking and life stuff). PRAY that I would be a help and an encouragement during this stressful time in their family. PRAY also for God's mighty hand of help and healing in this difficult situation.
  • Then last night, Tisa (a friend from Shkoze & one of the moms in our Mom and Toddlers' group) called to let me know that her father-in-law Sal (my adopted grandpa here) had passed away. Today's death visit to the family was very sad, knowing that he had not yet come to know Christ as his Savior. Please PRAY for Tisa, Tila and the rest of their family as they mourn the loss of their husband, father, and grandfather. Pray especially for Tila as she is the only believer in their family...that God would give her supernatural strength, encouragement and open doors to share during this difficult time.

Your willingness to join with me in prayer is a huge encouragement. I feel tired and a bit overwhelmed with all that is happening right now. THANK YOU for lifting me and these situations up to the One who has it all under control!

With a grateful heart,

- Jen
