It has been my privilege to serve as the youth pastor here at CMBC since 2013. I am a huge fan of Boston sports teams, love playing ultimate Frisbee and disc golf, and enjoy playing board games with people. One of my greatest passions is for the youth of today to develop their own spiritual walk and to have it grow into a great foundation for the rest of their lives. Too many youth leave the church when they graduate and this is for many reasons. One of these reasons is that they never truly ask themselves what they believe but only believe what their parents have told them to believe. My goal is to build a youth ministry that helps them know what they believe now so that when they are tested in their faith, they stand firm.
I have been serving as a CMBC youth leader since 2014. My greatest desire is to see our students passionate about serving the Lord wherever He has placed them, unashamed to share the gospel with their speech and their lives. I work to coordinate outreach and missions events. I also help lead the 7th and 8th grade girls small group on Wednesday nights. In my free time I love reading, the theatre, and trying new restaurants.
I have been serving as a youth leader at CMBC since Fall of 2015. I previously was involved in Youth Ministry for over 10 years before coming to CMBC. I believe this is an important ministry as it is a time when individuals begin to seek and search for their role and meaning in life as they begin to make important life decisions. What better then to have a foundation of the Lord to base them on and have individuals there to listen and encourage and provide opportunities for them to serve and grow together and individually in the Lord! My desire is to use the gifts the Lord has given me to encourage the youth in their walk with the Lord. I am assisting with the 9th and 10th grade boys on a Wednesday night for our small groups.
I enjoy cooking and baking and entertaining in our home. I started teaching 2 and 3 year olds back in 1991 not only in stories about Jesus but in song as well. I taught them for 11 years. On Children's Day it was so exciting to see these little ones praising God in front of the church. And then I was asked to come work with the youth group and was with them for 16 years. I have been driving a school bus for 17 years and looked forward to seeing my students each day. My faith was visible and I always tried my best to listen and encourage and pray for them. I started working with the youth here in the fall of 2015. My desire is to encourage our teens in their walk with the Lord and to help them to realize that in every aspect of life they need the Lord and his guidance to help them through. I am currently helping with the 9th and 10th grade girls. You also can find me in the kitchen.
I enjoy singing and cooking/baking. I have been serving as a youth leader since 2010. I first got started in youth ministry because they needed the help, but it has since become my heart and passion. I love seeing the students grasp who they are in Christ and fall more in love with Jesus! I lead the 9th and 10th grade girls small group, and I help with the worship and technical side of things.
I've worked with youth my entire adult life and I love it! One of my greatest joys is to spend time with kids one on one and watch the Holy Spirit flip the switch of his truth in their hearts. Music is also a passion of mine. Since 2013, I've been blessed to lead the CMBC youth in worship through music. There's nothing quite like hearing young hearts loving their Lord out loud! What a privilege it is to work with today's youth! As Jesus said to Peter in John 21:15, if you love Me, you will feed My lambs.
I enjoy watching baseball and digital illustration. I started serving as a youth leader in 2015. I have worked in several contexts teaching, tutoring and mentoring youth and always enjoy spending time with and encouraging young people. My role as a youth leader is to lead the 7th and 8th grade boys in small group.
I enjoy spending time with our kids. (Most days, anyway!) God has opened doors for me to be a part of the CMBC youth ministry since 2004/2005 school year. I really enjoy the teens and watching them grow in the Lord, building relationships with them to encourage their walk with the Lord. The 11th and 12th grade girls are where you will find me on a Wednesday night for our small groups! Fellowship usually includes food. It's the same at our youth functions as well! I help organize food for our weekly events and other youth activities.
I have been a Youth Leader since 2004. As a painter, a father of 8 kids and a runner, I manage to stay busy. I am currently leading the 11th and 12th grade boys small group. I really enjoy interacting with the youth and trying to prove the old guy can keep up as I really love playing and watching all sports. Even more, I enjoy teaching and building into their lives and seeing them grow spiritually.
I have been serving the youth with my wife Sarah since March 2016. I enjoy riding dirt bike, spending time in the woods hunting, and anything that keeps me active and outside. I love the enthusiasm and passion our youth bring and strive to be a godly example and encouragement in their lives as they go through a stage of uncertainty and excitement in "growing up". As a youth leader, I help lead the 7th and 8th grade boys small group. It is my goal as their leader to help them grow in their knowledge of who God is and to help equip them to share this knowledge with their friends. College is a testing time for a young believer and it is crucial to help them gain the spiritual foundation to stand firm in their faith as they enter the "real world."
I enjoy anything outdoors, including running, biking, sports, and gardening. I have been serving as a youth leader since March 2016, and I assist in leading the 9-10th grade girls. I am excited as a youth leader to connect and build relationships with the students. It is my desire to be there to encourage them, pray for them, and help them grow deeper in their faith so they can seek to serve the Lord in all areas of their lives.
