WHAT DRIVES US
Four Words

Words are powerful. Words might make you hear, allow you to see and cause you to feel! With words, we define the heart and ignite movements. Sometimes less is more. Learn about the heart of CMBC in just four words.

  • CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ has taken universal measures to reconcile sinful men to a holy God. We also believe that the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ changes everything about our lives, families, church, work, happiness, trials… and the list goes on! At CMBC, Christ takes center stage and our hope is that our church reflects the glory of our Hero and King. (Colossians 1:18; 2 Corinthians 5:14-15; Psalms 40:3)
  • MISSION
We see mission as continuing what Jesus started. As Christ was sent to establish redemption, so we are sent to extend His grace, mercy, justice and compassion to our neighbors, region and around the world. Missional expressions include serving in the community, providing economic assistance to those in need, encouraging other churches, training leaders, conversing with neighbors, and reaching out to the lonely and hurting. (John 17:18; Luke 19:10)
  • BIBLE
We take the Bible very seriously! We look to God's revelation of Himself through the Bible as the foundation of what we believe and the way we live. (2 Timothy 3:16; Colossians 1:28-29)
  • COMMUNITY
Growing spiritually doesn't just happen when we know what Jesus says. It happens when we apply what He says! We believe this happens best in the context of community. (1 Peter 1:22; 1 Thessalonians 5:11)

Our goal is to be a relational and bold body by inviting people to participate in a grace-based community that is safe for all to ask questions and pursue God without fear of rejection, embarrassment or shame. We want to see and love people as Jesus did. Believing that no one thrives in isolation, we provide environments that encourage authentic relationships with God and others.

We are not only a relational church. In fact, we are just as committed to being transformational by assisting and challenging one another to become more like Jesus. This life-long process is the pursuit of God through practical, spiritual disciplines, creatively teaching Biblical truth while providing mutual accountability and encouragement.

Place these four words together and you get something like this: we are a multi-generational community living on mission with Christ, known for our Biblical stand, changed lives, and caring relationships.

We would love for you to come and experience CMBC for yourself as a part of our intentional community.
