I'm not your typical pastor. Truth is, for most of my life I never saw myself as a pastor. To this day, I'm not big on titles, which is why I prefer and asked to be called "Bryan." However, though I have never felt comfortable fitting into the pastor box, I do know that I'm called by God to be one. In fact, I've been serving as a pastor in some way, shape or form for 20 years. Sometimes I pinch myself and ask why God has given me the privilege of being a part of such an amazing church like CMBC, a ministry that impacts hundreds of lives every day with the Gospel. There are several reasons that I can identify as to why I'm CMBC's pastor. First, I match the profile of the kind of people God says He uses. I Corinthians 1:27 says that God chooses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. God chose the weak things of the world to show the strong. See! I'm a perfect match. Second, though I am flawed in many ways, God knows that I'm in ministry for one reason… I love Him and I am desperate for others to know the redemption, love, fulfillment, and hope that I've experienced in knowing Him. Third, in a generation where the church is in such desperate need for change without compromise, I see CMBC to be a place of hope. Our leadership is committed to leading the ministry to the perfect balance of grace and holiness as we together strive to be fruitful and faithful in God's sight.
