• Pastor Chris Lenhart

    Lead Pastor

Pastor Chris was born and raised in Lancaster County. He spent his childhood growing up in the Holtwood Area, where he came to know Jesus at Rawlinsville Camp Meeting. Shortly after Jesus transformed his life, Pastor Chris received a clear and direct call to go into ministry. Chris trained at Baptist Bible College & Seminary (now Clarks Summit University) where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Bible.

Following his freshman year of college, Chris decided to work at Black Rock Retreat in Quarryville as a Camp Counselor. It was at Black Rock where he met his future wife, Sheila. Sheila grew up in the Manheim/Mount Joy area where she attended Manheim Central High School. She graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Nursing and has her RN license. Chris and Sheila were married in May of 2003 and have 3 children: Braighton, Baylee & Brody.

Upon graduation from college, Chris accepted a position at Wesley Church in Quarryville, where he served for 14 years in various roles, beginning as the Youth Pastor. During his tenure at Wesley, Chris had the opportunity to complete a Master’s degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia. Some of the highlights of his tenure at Wesley include watching Jesus grow the congregation, a major land purchase & building project, planting a Spanish-Latino congregation in Quarryville, and hiring various staff members. During his time at Wesley, Chris also had the opportunity to begin work towards a Ph.D. program at Lancaster Bible College.

Chris and Sheila live in Quarryville where they are actively involved and engaged in the community. Chris serves as a football coach for the high school football team and is involved in many other youth sports and activities. Chris enjoys spending time with his family, following all Philadelphia sports teams & Penn State Football, being active, reading, coffee, and people.

Chris, Sheila and their family are excited to join the CMBC family, and are looking ahead with great anticipation towards what God might accomplish! It is Chris’s desire to see God build up a community of believers who live to honor God by helping others grow in a greater love for God and a greater love for each other; leading the next generation to grow in Christ and be motivated to continue!
