• Pastor Stan Maughan

    Interim Pastor

Pastor Stan Maughan grew up in a Christian home, but rejected his parents’ faith and became a confirmed, outspoken atheist for a number of years. Confronted with evidence for the Christian faith, he eventually trusted Christ during his college years. He grew rapidly in his faith through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, and soon realized God was calling him into vocational Christian work. After a year working with Campus Crusade, he got involved in fellowship at Eastern Hills Bible Church in Manlius, NY. From there he went to Dallas Theological Seminary, and graduated from there and married his wife Jeanne all in the same week. He later also earned his Doctor of Ministry from Dallas. He served 12 years as Senior Pastor at Church of the Living Christ, an independent Bible Church in Perry County, and then 15 years as Senior Pastor at Central Manor Church in Lancaster County. Stan and Jeanne have six children: John, Sarah, David, Nathan, Benjamin, and Rachael (ages 20 to 30), along with two daughters-in-law, four grandchildren...and one puppy!  They live near Spooky Nook Sports in Manheim. Among other things, Stan has long had a heart for building the church of Jesus Christ, world missions, Bible teaching, the land and people of Israel, mentoring, and Bible prophecy. He loves gardening, camping, hiking, travel, and spending time with his family. Jeanne is from northwest Ohio, and works part-time as a nurse. They are currently members at Calvary Church of Lancaster, where Stan teaches in an ABF. However, they are delighted to be at CMBC during this season and looking forward to getting to know the church and people better.
