Today we conclude our series in Mark, entering chapter 16, we are walking towards a dark and curious tomb. The grave is so often seen as a void and hopeless destination, one where we expect to meet difficulty and death. However, in our text today, God's power has overwhelmed death, Jesus has risen, hope is restored, and a message is given to proclaim. Here is our hope in the midst of suffering, Jesus is alive, he is with us, and he has promised a good and eternal future to those who believe.
