Notice of Vote for Lead Pastor Candidate Chris Lenhart

After an in-depth and rigorous search process bathed in much prayer, the Elders are unanimously recommending Pastor Chris Lenhart as the candidate for CMBC’s lead pastor position.

Chris grew up in southern Lancaster County and came to a saving knowledge of Jesus as Savior at Rawlinsville Camp Meeting. He met Sheila, his wife of 15 years, at Black Rock Retreat. Chris and Sheila are parents of three children Braighton (11), Baylee (9), and Brody (7), Chris has been active in community outreach, specifically as an assistant football coach at Solanco High School, and the Elders believe that his community involvement would bring an added depth to his effectiveness as CMBC’s lead pastor.

Following Chris’ graduation from Baptist Bible College (now Clarks Summit University) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Bible, he and Sheila were married and he immediately began full-time ministry at Wesley Church in Quarryville. There he was involved in every aspect of church leadership, from youth ministry to leadership development to administration of multiple ministries, as well as preaching and teaching ministries.

Over the past 11 years, Chris has earned a Master's Degree in Religious Education from Liberty University, and completed coursework for his Ph.D. in Leadership from Lancaster Bible College.

Chris is a skilled communicator, including conference speaking, workshop leading, and interpersonal relationships. He is an effective servant leader with a shepherd’s heart. Chris knows and loves God's Word, and is skilled in sharing it. The Elders of CMBC are delighted to recommend this man of God as a candidate for our lead pastor.

Where do I go?

Visiting a new church can be intimidating, so we have strategically placed greeters whose sole purpose is to make you comfortable and assist you in any way possible. We suggest you take a moment and visit our Info Center. Not only will you find out all about CMBC, but you will also receive a gift as a token of our appreciation for your visit. You may also want to sip a cup of coffee and enjoy a donut at our coffee bar while you meet some pretty wonderful people who are glad to see you. Our goal is simple: we want you to feel welcomed, comfortable, and informed as our guest.

What about the kids?

We have trained adults who consider it a great privilege to teach and minister to your children. Our goal is to teach children that God has a plan for their life and there is no need that He cannot meet.

During the 8:15 AM Service: Children through age 5 will be cared for in our nursery and preschool rooms. Older children are welcome to attend the service with their parents.

During Sunday School: Children through 23 months will be cared for in our nurseries. We have age-appropriate classes for children age 2 through 12th grade.

During the 11:00 AM Service: Children through age 5 will be cared for in our nursery and preschool rooms. On most Sundays, children in grades K-3 are dismissed during the service to participate in our junior church ministry. Older children are welcome to attend the service with their parents.
